About Kilo

May 4, 2013 - Pups are born! Kilo is one of two males in a litter of eleven. Wow - that's a lot of sisters to have  He was the last pup born but certainly not the least. He's not the smallest pup in the group either. He is one of the biggest!

May 6, 2013 – Kilo's eyes are closed and right now as are all the pups.  This is a time for growing rapidly!

May 15, 2013 -  Kilo's eyes are open! The kids are excited but none more than Brenton! He has already declared Kilo as his favorite pup!

May 19, 2013 – Kilo and his littermates received their temporary names today and their first collars to help us keep them all straight!  Kilo is wearing a green collar.  Our family got together and tried to come up with a theme to name eleven puppies.  Believe it or not this is no easy chore!  In the end we decided on naming them based on military call letters.  After all, Cadence, their mom, was named while living at the army base at Fort Drum, NY.  And, Comrade, well, that just seemed fitting that her "mate" should be her comrade as they would say in the military!

May 23, 2013 – Kilo is progressing nicely.  He's still one of the bigger pups but also one of the more mellow pups.

May 31, 2013 – Kilo is sweet natured and playful. He loves attention from everyone! He is quite the laid back puppy and such a little love!  He reminds me so much of his dad! Kilo will be a fantastic family dog for anyone whether it be a young couple, older couple or a family full of children.  He's so easy going!

June 7, 2013 - Kilo has not yet found his forever home but I've got no doubt that he will very soon. He's a gorgeous blonde male with such an easy going temperament. I'd keep myself if I could but then I'd keep them all if I could - that is, if they'd all stay little forever!  But we know they can't so the best I can hope for is that Kilo finds the perfect home for him and that his new family will keep in touch with me via in person visits, photos, facebook, email... however it works!

June 9, 2013 - Kilo has found a new home with Christina, her beautiful daughter and family.   Kilo seems to be the perfect match for this family and I'm pretty sure that he will be a wonderful addition to their family for many years to come.  Maybe... his name will remain Kilo! Of all the pups named after military call letters I always liked his name (and Alpha's name) the best!
